Windows Phone 8.1 update with notification center, additional features spotted

Jeremiah Wong,  a Reddit user, has posted a series of screenshots that are said to be from a Lumia 920 running on pre release software. The handset that was purchased via eBay is running on a software version that identifies itself as 12084.WPMAIN
(wpbldlab).20130509-1407.

The biggest and most important
addition has to be the notification
center that seems to be accessible
via a dedicated live tile. This features is pretty good and all windows phone user are something disappointed without this feature , but now he we get notifications centre. We hope
that Microsoft will add a gesture to
access this by the time the
software update rolls out. A
redesigned calendar interface with
weekly views and what appears to
be a much improved widget can
also be seen. Microsoft has also
added the ability to close
applications straight through the
multitasking menu. The Redmond
based company also seems to be
tweaking the interface a bit as can
be seen from the screenshots and
will allow users to sort apps by
name and usage frequency in the
app list. The handset is running a
number of developer centric
applications and is clearly one that
was being used a developer before being sold on eBay. We’re quite excited to see Microsoft plugging the several shortcomings of its mobile platform and can’t wait for it .
